Short, easy to read paragraphs are usually better and will be read more often than longer, unscannable paragraphs that go on and on forever. Also, do your best to write in a conversational and informal way.
Do you even see how shorter paragraphs look better on the page? Do you Ever wonder if they actually make it easier for people to read? Well, guess what. . .

Even one line paragraphs like the one above. This text very much reads like normal human speech. I encourage you to do the same.

Sometimes it helps to use the testimonials to advance your story or reinforce a point you just made. In any case, perhaps now is a good time to interject a subhead into the body copy of this sales page.
Using Subheads to Help the Reader
Subheads help the reader on conscious and subsconscious levels. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat.

Use testimonials liberally. They help establish Social Proof. It shows that other people also believe in this product or service, and that the product is of good quality.

Getting an Opt-In
Be sure to give someone a real compelling reason to opt into your list. Notice that this box is in some color other than the testimonial color.

Continuing the conversation is important.
One technique for writing body copy is to just imagine a conversation between you and a customer. You'll write both sides of that conversation as you go on to describe your product or service.
And then perhaps, it's a good time for bullets.

It also helps to have a little bit of text that explains what the bullets might be about. So you might explain how all these bullets will help in the performance of your widget:

Now that the bullets are done, it's a good time to continue the story. Get in much deeper here about the features and benefits of the product or service. For example, if you are doing a teleseminar, then it's a good time to list the people you are interviewing. Include their photos, credentials, and anything else that will help someone make a decision.

P.S. One other thing I feel compelled to tell you about.
You should ALWAYS have a PS on your sales letter. Even two or three. The first thing you should know about a PS is that just about everyone will read it. In fact, it's the second-most often read piece of text on the page.
