When I first heard that the Orioles had traded their all-star closer for two minor league (AA) prospects, I was utterly dumbfounded at first. I originally thought they had basically given him up for free.

Some more research into the players they received in return changed my mind slightly. Yes, I wish they had actually gotten someone who can help us here and now, instead of next year or whenever Bell and Johnson come up.

Sure, the season's obviously done in Baltimore. There's no way in the world they can think about catching the Yankees or the Red Sox, let alone the Rays. Maybe Toronto, but that'd get the team nowhere anyway.

Let's face it. The Orioles aren't going to contend for the AL East this season. They might be an improved team from years past, but they're still last in their division, as nearly every team in the division is somewhat competitive.

The Orioles will most likely lose 36-year-old Melvin Mora to free agency after season's end. If they don't lose him, he's aging anyway and he'll soon need a replacement.

Josh Bell has been pretty good in Double-A Chattanooga. He's batting .296 with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs in 94 games. As for Johnson, he was an important component for Chattanooga with a 9-5 record and a 3.61 ERA. His pitching future is bright, and he may very well see some action for the Orioles in 2010.

Sure, they've lost a reliable closer in Sherrill, but now the Orioles have two more young players to look forward to that add to an already promising young core (Adam Jones, Nick Markakis, and more). Maybe this will turn out to be the right move here.

Let's go Orioles!

Nicholas McMillan is a lifelong MLB zealot, and is pleased to see improvement on the Baltimore baseball scene. He often contributes his input at this Baltimore Orioles forum, and lurks at their sports forum whenever he needs a change of pace.

If one were to ask at the Mormon what their beliefs are they will more than likely refer you to the 13 articles of faith. These are points at that were written by their founder Joseph Smith in order to explain what the Mormon church is based on. The Mormon church incidentally is the Church of latter-day Saints. Some of the points covered in the 13 articles are based on what they believe in God as being the eternal father and that his son is Jesus Christ and they also believe in the Holy Ghost. If one goes a little further to research this they will soon find that be are not considered as one and the same as Christian belief teaches but the Mormons believe they are three separate Gods.

They believe that man is punished because of what they do not because of what Adam did. They will tell you that they believed in the atonement of Christ and that all mankind will be saved but going a little further they will stipulate that saving comes from obedience to the Gospel. In essence they are taking away being saved by grace which was the payment Christ made when he died on the cross in accordance to the Christian belief

They believe that the important sectors of their faith is first to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ then following that must be repentance after that comes baptism and then the laying on of hands. These again on the surface appear very closely related to the standard Christian religion

In order to be of any type of leader or significance then you must be an individual that has been called by God through prophecy and also all by the laying on of hands of those that are in authority now.

They believe in the organization that goes back to the New Testament days referring to apostles and prophets etc.

They believe in the gift of tongues and prophecy as well as visions and healings. Again many of the beliefs are tha of whicht the Christian religion holds true.

One of the interesting and most substantial factors to bear in mind is that they do believe that the Bible is the Word of God only when it is translated correctly. They will also tell you in the same breath that they believe the book of Mormon to be the word of God as well. It must be noted that the book of Mormon was written by Joseph Smith himself.

They do believe in the revelations that God gives. They do stand on the premise of the restoration of the 10 gatherings of the tribes but this is to be built upon the American soil.

They believe that all men should be allowed to worship how, where or what they may. However based on this if your beliefs are not following the Mormon belief you would never take a position of authority in their organization. They believed in obeying the government and the laws. They also hold the promise of doing good to all men.

One of the latest great debates when it comes to Mormons is determining if their religion is Mormon or Christian or is one and the same thing. In the eyes of the Mormon the answer to that question is yes. There has been a great attempt in the last little while for the Mormons to stand on the grounds of Christianity more so than they have in the past.

It is interesting to note that in 1982 the book of Mormon's name was given a name with reference to the Testament of Jesus Christ.

Then in 1995 the official letterhead changed to take on a larger stance of the Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. Even one of the leaders states that the church talks a lot more now about Jesus Christ than it used to because they want to show people that they are Christians.

It would appear on the surface a great effort is put into convincing nonbelievers that the Mormons stand on the very same basis that Christianity does. On the surface it may seem this way although when one begins to become well-versed in the Mormon religion they see the vast differences.

It would seem that there are even differences of the union of Christianity amongst the leaders in the congregation of the Mormons themselves. Interestingly enough a past president stated that he definitely was a Christian and had prayer through Christ and tried to follow him and when asked further whether he believes in the traditional Christ his answer was no he didn't. He states that the non-Mormons are not speaking of the same Christ whom he believes in. At the beginning of Mormonism they took a great stance against being classed as a Christian denomination for the simple reason that they believed that there was a great apostasy that included all of the Christians and they did not want to be counted as part of that.

Joseph Smiths claim was that the Latter-day Saints Church was the only true church. Brigham Youngs comment about Christians is that the current day Christians are not the Christians that are defined in the New Testament. He even goes on to say that Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the whore of Babylon. Then again another leader goes on to say that the darkness of the apostasy still is the same today except for those that have come to know what he calls the restored gospel which is of course the Joseph Smith Doctrine.

It is easy to see when one looks over all the explanations of what these leaders stand for that they certainly do not equate themselves as what society sees Christianity as.

Most of the Mormons believe that the Christians of today are selfish and do not maintain the law according to the Mormons. They claim that they never criticize other beliefs and yet they have made some pretty staunch statements against Christians. So this again is just one more fallacy of the religion itself when it comes to making one statement at one time and then totally changing at another time.

Boise real estate owners are trying to keep their homes and in so doing, seek loan modifications, but that is the top fraud complaint in the state right now. Foreclosures were up 89 percent from the previous year, but complaints about modifications leapt from a handful in 2008 to 353 in 2009, according to the attorney general's office. Loan modification fraud complaints dwarfed every other complaint type this year with Idaho's Attorney Generals office.

Many of the reports of fraud being reported are outrageous, says Lawrence Wasden, Idaho's Attorney General. Many homeowners, who are desperate to keep their homes, are charged hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars, although no attempt to change their loan is made. The Attorney Generals office rapidly sought out and received three settlements and filed two lawsuits on behalf of citizens and victims. This kind of criminal act leaves nearly all homeowners in the Boise real estate market without any avenue to keep their homes.

In order to help many Boise real estate owners receive the loan modifications they were hoping for, the Attorney Generals office even brought in a counselor as a resource. To help out, free foreclosure handbooks were printed up and handed out.

The Idaho Attorney Generals office recovered just over 7.4 million dollars on behalf of Idaho taxpayers, which amounts to just over $12 per taxpayer dollar contributed by the state, according to Wasden. The attorney general also recovered $5.9 million in civil penalties, fees and costs, also the largest amount ever recovered by the office in that category. The state received $31 million in 2009 from the tobacco master settlement agreement negotiated between the office and tobacco manufacturers in 1998. Idaho has taken in an otherwise unseen $254 million as a result over the years.

While only costing the state of Idaho $833,000 and bringing in a total of $44 million, the consumer affairs operations are a very positive force for citizens in general, but specifically for those who own Boise real estate. The department was very effective in the broad range of topics it worked in last year. It prosecuted and settled consumer protection cases with Eli Lilly & Co., other pharmaceutical manufacturers and several businesses. In topics as broad as illegal monopolies to anti-trust issues, Wasden is not one to back off or step aside. They even managed to reach an agreement involving a price fixing vitamin company.

Phone solicitors have had to adjust their tactics as well, with over 900,000 new phone numbers being added to the "do not call" list to avoid solicitations. Soon the office will release an important DVD which teaches children how to avoid sexual predators online, called "ProtecTeens".

If someone were to tell that in order to be a true believer in Christ that he only came to America, or you had to wear unique underwear would you perhaps not think that was a little unusual? Combine this with the omission of consuming acohol, tea or coffee and the fact there is one remaining prophet on earth then you may be learning about the Church of Latter Day Saints, or aka "Mormons". If you are thinking that not too many people would pick up on these beliefs then you will be surprised to hear that this particular Church is the 4th largest in America.

What argument do Mormons make? Mormons create brave statements about their attitude. For instance, they stipulate that the Church of Latter Day Saints is a ?restored? edition of the unique Church recognized by Jesus Christ 2000 years before. They purport that they themselves know the beginning of existence, why we even exist and what the purpose of our death will be. The basis of their believe stems on that every being can gain individual knowledge in order to become familiar with what to do by means of their existence. They state that weddings and families can last for all time without end.

There are some various fascinating claims. In some cases though they are actually a spin off of what Christianity as we know it claims. Although many of the claims made by the Mormons are classified as weird or crazy, their argument is that so is many of the claims made by the Christians when made to the non believers.

The Mormons retort to the unbelief of those that approach them with accusations of being weird or crazy is that it is all based on their lack of knowledge of their faith. They will point out that the Mormons believe that the Son of God came to earth, died for everyone's sins, and came back to life. They go on to stipulate that this sounds crazy to the non believer yet many Churches outside of their own teach these concepts.

While this is true that there is every indication that the Mormons do stand on this belief its what they have added to the Christian doctrine that causes the upheaval in what to believe. For example they believe that they themselves can become Gods by doing the right thing. They further believe that God himself was once bone, flesh and blood. It is all these add ons that really hurt the credibility of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Ironically enough many people to this day do not realize that this church is based on the Mormon beliefs. They are considered as two distinct entities. Another interesting factor about the Mormons is that their rituals are very much conducted in the same form as that of the free masons, yet neither of these entities claim any tie to the other.

The important lesson to learn here is that when considering any religion whether it be Mormonism or Christianity that one look at the religion in its entirety and not just its basics.

To most of us it seems like the Mormons have been around forever. They actually date back to the 1820s. In 1823 a young lad by the name of Joseph Smith sought Gods wisdom as to what church he should belong to. Some speculate that he went into the woods to do this while others claim that he did it from his bedroom. He states that the Angel Maroni summoned him and called him by name and stipulated to him that he had great works for God to do. He was directed to finding some golden plates where the instructions and historical episodes that had taken place centuries ago. Joseph claimed that the everlasting gospel was contained on these plates.

Joseph apparently was able to locate these plates through a vision. The plates were buried in a hill called Mora. The instructions also included that he was not to remove the plates nor was he to show them to anyone. The story goes that the next day Joseph was so exhausted from these visions that his father had to send him back home from work. During that time he collapsed. and apparently the Angel Maroni appeared to him again and repeated the message. Joseph told his father about these happenings.

Ironically Joseph's father believed him and sent him to where he was to find the plates. Apparently Joseph found them as per instructions and buried them again for a period of four years. The Angel Maroni returned and instructed Joseph and every year he made a pilgrimage to this site. Then in 1827 Joseph came up with the plates but was forced to hide them because of those that wanted to sell them.

Apparently during this translation time other people did witness these plates as there are testimonies in the book of Mormon concerning this. After Joseph finished translating the gold plates then the book of Mormon came into being.

It is ironic that with Josephs three years of formal education that the book was very complex and articulate. Joseph claimed that it was the power of God that gave him the ability to be able to do this. According to the story Joseph would just concentrate and have a great deal of faith. Due to the difficulty of the translation it was said that Joseph would sit with the plates and verbally give the translation. His wife gives quite an account of this tim and states that Joseph was working on this book and how he would be able to return to where he left off with no problem. One would think that this would take many years to do but apparently the translation only talk a matter of three months and there were several scribes that would write as Joseph dictated.

One of these scribes was Oliver Cowdery that upheld the validity of the book with great fevor, to the point where he stipulated that by only obeying the book of Mormons would one get into the kingdom of heaven.

There is no argument that the Mormons will not use the cross as a symbol of Christianity. What they will argue with is because of this it does not make them any less of being a Christian. It must be remembered that the early Christians did not use the cross as a symbol either and the answer to this is because the believer must look beyond the cross and to the resurrection. Emphasis should not be put on the suffering aspects but on the joy and promise of life.

Its quite ironic that the Mormons have the very same complaint as the Christians in that stating Christians will play with words in order to attack the doctrine of the Latter Day Saints. The whole premise comes down with respect to this issue that suffering is respected and remembered and sacrifice is as well.

However, the look of the future must be placed on the resurrection and that it really should not be remembered that Christ went through the torture and humiliation. This is not what the emphasis should be put on.

To put their argument in a common picture they have used examples. For example if an individual had a loved one that was struck by a car and killed then they wouldn't put pictures of cars on their wall to remember the. loved ones by.

And this has given new status to the next staggering statement we made, that there ought to be one church. Time was when the churches rejoiced in diversity, when they said, we are enriched by our differences, when the standard approach to conflict was, God has taken account of all the individual traits of men and therefore does not require the same patterns for any set of men. All of us can speak for him and with him and by him. We need not worry.

In the final closure of this part of the argument is the Mormons will put great emphasis on not worshiping graven images which they feel that the cross is a well but in the same breath they tell you that it is not wrong to have pictures for example or even a statue but it must be remembered that they are not the object of worship.

Homeowners in the Boise area are not cutting their home prices as much as they were in previous months, according to Zillow.com's February market information, which is a good sign.

Homeowners in the Boise area are not cutting their home prices as much as they were in previous months, according to Zillow.com's February market information, which is a good sign.

The median list price of homes, however, fell in January, sources said in a report, which was obtained by Reuters ahead of its scheduled release.

With January posting a 19.8% rate of at least one price reduction per home for sale, February's slightly lower number of 19.5% has some significance to homeowners and industry spectators.

Asking prices dropped by an average of 6.8% in January to an average reduction of 6.7% in February.

The Boise real estate market has posted this trend consistently over each of the past twelve months, showing a boon for buyers. The February home sales numbers did not look too hot either, considering Zillow reports that an 8.7% price drop was shown over 33% of listed homes.

With a median decrease in prices between January and February of 1.4%, and yearly decrease in February at 6.8%, median home prices rest at $205,000 currently.

The median days on the Boise real estate market changed about four days, from 109 days in January to about 105 days in February sources indicated. However, Augusts days on market numbers were only 90 days on average.

Zillow reported that the Boise real estate market had a median days on market number of 109 days.

What this means for many property owners is that the inventory is being absorbed at predictable rates that would allow for price changes accordingly. Many Boise real estate sellers will have to use this information to plan on reducing their prices to keep pace with the market as it continues to show a slow pace this winter sales season. If this is not taken into account you may find yourself in the unfavorable situation of trying to catch up on a declining market and use up all of your equity.

This allows Boise real estate buyers the time to carefully consider exactly what they want and to patiently plan exactly how they are going to get a home that meets all their needs. Being in a "buyer" market is not necessarily a good thing if you are not well educated on market tendencies, and cannot capitalize on the best value when it comes along.

Reports indicate that the economy is turning around based on the evidence of a 5.9% increase in GDP and increased business investment reports. As the recession eases Boise real estate will be helped out by the positive news.

Reports indicate that the economy is turning around based on the evidence of a 5.9% increase in GDP and increased business investment reports. As the recession eases Boise real estate will be helped out by the positive news.

In its second reading of fourth-quarter gross domestic product, the Commerce Department said the economy grew at a 5.9% annual rate, rather than the 5.7% pace it estimated last month. It was still the fastest pace since the third quarter of 2003. Posting an impressive 2.2% increase, the third quarter led all to date. If we go back to the 2003 number the Boise real estate market would be on solid footing.

The economy in the winter time frame posted a 5.7% rate of growth, including all goods and services sold inside the borders of the U.S., according to Reuters. With the recovery seemingly in full swing in the last few months of 2009, our nation seemed to be emerging from the most severe financial crisis since the Great Depression, but that growth has been stymied somewhat in the first quarter of 2010. Even thought consumer spending and the housing markets were down, the fact that businesses increased investment in software and equipment helped add some steadiness to the economy and allowed business to liquidate bloated inventories. As the nation goes, so goes Boise real estate.

Demand remains low as indicated by the reduction in actual growth of 1.9% from the projected growth of 2.2%, which reduced inventories and brought some balance back. Inventory values were adjusted down from $33.5 billion initially, to $16.9 in the fourth quarter. They dropped $139.2 billion in the July-September period. The Gross Domestic Product was increased by 3.88% simply by the difference in inventory in that quarter. This was the biggest percentage contribution since the fourth quarter of 1987. With so many suppliers eliminating excess inventory, builders in the Boise real estate market were helped out.

As a whole, the year 2009 featured the most dramatic decrease in GDP, at 2.4%, since the post World War II recovery of 1946. Toward the end of 2009, consumer spending had to be reduced from the projected 2% to 1.7% in consumer spending. Although offset soon afterward, the "cash for clunkers" program drove GDP, by stimulating consumption, up by a respectable 2.8%. A huge block of our economy normally comes from consumer spending, around 70%, but in the fourth quarter of 2009 it only added a minuscule 1.23%. In such a financial crisis, the Boise real estate market is not independent of the national trends.

Businesses continued to invest in equipment and necessary software at such a rate that the commercial real estate slump was not a cause of negative number in the Gross Domestic Product in the fourth quarter. Business investment rose at a 6.5% rate, much faster than the 2.9% pace estimated last month. In the preceding three months, it had slid by about 5.9%. With an anticipated increase of 5.7% for the fourth quarter, the construction numbers were a bit of a disappointment when they came in at 5%. Posting an increase of just under 19% in the third quarter, there was quite a disparity between quarters. Contributing a .3% increase in GDP, imports and exports were significantly stronger in the fourth quarter than previously anticipated. In the Boise real estate industry, the GDP and other market factors are closely watched.

Search engine optimization and positioning is so popular nowadays that a lot of people are sent unsolicited search engine optimization proposals over the internet. There are a lot of search engine optimization consultants that try to sweet-talk companies and individuals into paying lots of money for search engine optimization with assured results and submission to over 100,000 search engines and directories.

In search engine optimization, there are no quick results or permanent top positions. There are in reality no guarantees in SEO. There are no shortcuts either. Search engine optimization takes heavy work and fine tuning of contents. It also needs tons of patience as results do not come overnight.

Content is also vital when it comes to search engine optimization. In fact, it is probably the single most important thing for you to do in order to be found on the World Wide Web. A site that is technically seamless for search engine robots, it will not help you much unless you put in good contents.

Frames cause trouble for the people who find your site through search engines. If somebody follows the link from a search result listing to a frame-based site, they will land in a document that is outside of its parent frameset. This will most likely create confusion.

Most search engines do not place great value on meta tags and meta descriptions any longer. They have been used way too much by spammers. However that does not mean you should neglect it.

Check out your URLs. Make sure your domain name contains an principal keyword. Also note essential parts in search engine optimization have a good page title. This line of text (in the title tag) shows on the title bar of your browser when you're looking at a web site and ideally, it should contain your primary target keywords. Same goes for search engine optimization of headings. The heading tags of your pages (h1, h2, etc.) serve a dual purpose. They are very useful for search engine optimization.

Learn how SEO Copywriting and SEO Strategies can help increase the traffic to your website and thus boost your business!
